New! Floral Collection

I love to garden and wanted to create a photographic floral arrangement that, during the long winter months, would help me to remember how truly vibrant and lovely are God's creations. Here are just a few from my New Floral Collection. NOTE: Please contact me via email at antonia.smith@earthlink.net for pricing.

I think I'm a leaf, I think I'm a leaf...

Thinking it was a dead leaf...I actually started to walk past this moth. Taken this past fall in my yard, I'm glad I hesitated just long enough to take a better look. The details are quite wonderful!

Revisiting

Since I've been unable to travel about our beautiful state recently...I decided to look at some pictures taken in the past year or two and play around with them. These two are of the old locomotive on display downtown on College Ave. Because it no longer rides the rails, I wanted to give the pictures an old, vintage feel and yet not hide the wonderful details of this fine machine. These two pictures as well as a few others will soon be hanging in a local restaurant ("Cacciatores", an Italian Steakhouse on KMD) soon. The owner is very kind and the dining is fine casual. The food is superb! I'm very excited that so many people will be able to view and purchase these fine prints. Just in time for Christmas too! Feel free to leave your comments here! Perspective

"Sprockets"
The blues in this remind me of the ocean. The details are interesting too. This is my sons old bike that is, sadly, at the landfill now.

"Corner Perspective"
This was taken at the Goddard Mansion near the Portland Head Light. I wanted to give it a medieval appearance. I chose this portrait for a 16x20 canvas. Crossing my fingers that it will look as good as I imagine.

"Lighted Wood"
Makes me think of a rain forest. Taken in the woods to the back of our home.

"Forgotten Splendor"
Old homes and barns have always held a fascination for me. I often wonder at it's previous history and those who once lived or worked there. I can still glimpse the beauty. I hope you can too.

Pieces of Portland

I recently had a clown event in the Saco area and my husband was kind enough to take the day off (so I wouldn't get lost, driving). So we, along with our son, decided to make a day of it and enjoy the area. The weather was glorious and with it being a Tuesday, the crowds were at a minimum. What could be better! These are but a few of the photographs from our trip.

"Lighted Window"
Though all the light isn't from the window, the way the light filters through is still quite lovely here.

"Caught on Camera"
I could hardly believe I was able to catch this just right. If you look closely...there really is a hedgehog and dove in this doorway. Yippee for me!

"Pier"
Okay...so this was taken at Old Orchard Beach (my bad). Enjoy.

"Fighting the Waves"
We were able to enjoy quite a few ducks and caught this little guy just in time.( Yes, his head is just above the wave in the first photo.)

"Flower in Focus"
I love the way you can glimpse the ocean past this blossom.

"Oceanview"
Makes me want to learn sailing!

"Portland Head Light"
I know it's been done before...but who can resist a lighthouse.

Funny Things!

I just couldn't escape the irony. I mean, really, with the whole ocean, is a fire hydrant warranted? Clearly...I'm not a fireman!

Yes, I know. My son asked why I'd want a picture of porta-potties too. I just think it's funny!

Some old, some new!

I thought I would add some earlier photographs from this year. These are some of my favorites. I hope you will like them as well. Let me know what you think! ~Antonia

"January Seagull"
( We took a drive to the coast early this year and not a stitch of snow to be seen either! This fellow didn't seem to mind, I think.)

"Locomotive Parts"
( Who doesn't love trains?! This is an antique located in Waterville, Maine for visitors to climb and... it's a great place for photo shoots too!)

"Winter Foot Bridge"
( This wonderful foot bridge is located in Skowhegan, Maine.)

" Horse Stall"
( I'm an old farm girl so I can't resist taking pictures that remind me of my childhood! Taken in the Spring.)

"God's Paintbrush"

Since summers are so short in Maine, I thought I'd share some lovely flowers from my garden. The Painted Daisies (the violet ones) are my favorite and I seem to have a photograph from every year they've bloomed. I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I do!

One must know that God is ever present when you look around and see this kind of beauty!
(I can't remember when the "Daisy" became my favorite flower...but shouldn't it be everyone's?) ~Antonia
